Description
The canvas of our life is painted with the hues of our experiences. Our sadness, anger, and joy are constantly being added to our life’s work, but many people believe, no matter what we do, our families and our environments are the only determinants of how our life’s work will turn out. This isn’t true. Within each of us is the power to change the perceptions of limitations we have for ourselves and those around us. No matter how our life begins, we can still paint the picture of hope. In the autobiography, I Paint My Own Reality, Korianne Juluke sets out to do just that.
I Paint My Own Reality will grab ahold of you and force you to reevaluate your world. How do you see your life’s work, how do others see it? Have you let outside factors determine your world, or like Juluke, do you have the ability to paint your own reality?

As a high school student, I believe that this book should be in local school systems because I’m very sure that there are 11th and 12th graders, specifically, New Orleans black teens, that most likely dealt with some of the things the author went through in her childhood/teen hood. I feel like some of those kids might need that. It might be just this book that keep them going in life.
Keep doing great things Korianne Juluke!! I love it!! & I hope this book bring many blessings and sunshine to your life!

As a black male growing up in New Orleans, I believe this book is great for teens and adults that grew up in the city. Being a subject in the book and after reading it for myself, I believe it is good for any and everyone because of the fact that we all deal with our own personal struggles in life and this book displays how one can overcome anything. Therefore, at the end, we can all reflect on our lives and ultimately, Paint Our Own Reality!

I really enjoyed reading her story. It is amazing how she remains positive throughout all the hardships she’s endured. Her story is encouraging and I’m sure it will inspire anyone who reads it.

This book paints a perfect picture of real life and is relatable to most. It is inspirational, some parts you laugh and some parts you cry. I couldn’t hardly put it down. Such a great book.
